Billericay Town welcomed League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge to a sunny and humid New Lodge this evening in another match building up to the league season. Billericay had the first real chance of the game after 10 minutes. Bryan-Edwards headed against the bar and then Campbell hit the ball over the crossbar when trying to lob the Daggers keeper Seabright. Thereafter the away side started to up the tempo somewhat with there passing and movement proving difficult for the Ryman League Side. On 20 minutes Akinde hit the post for the Daggers as they continued to push Billericay back into their own half and restricted the home side to counter attacks. Daggers continued to knock on the door and eventually a bit of League Two class broke the deadlock after 44 minutes when a one two between Woodall and Dennis, the later backhealing into the path of Woodall who slotted past the home keeper for 1-0 at the break. The second half was a different story however as the home side started to get the better of their their League Two opponents. On 55 minutes Junior Luke produced a great save from Daggers keeper O'Brien who had replaced Seabright at half time. On 77 minutes O'Brien produced another great save to tip Lettejallow's effort round the post. Billericay continued to knock on the door but just couldn't break through. Daggers were playing on the break but their final ball let them down. But the League Two side held on for a 1-0 win but Craig Edwards will take heart from a strong performance from his side nonetheless.
