Southend Manor Ladies 9 Valley Green Ladies 0

Essex Women's League Division One, Sunday 12th May 2013

Manor's Ladies clinched the championship  this afternoon with a totally dominant performance over bottom of the table Valley Green today.   The away sides keeper was good value and made some pretty good saves in the first few minutes of the game.  However after the deadlock was broken on 10 minutes Manor scored at regular intervals to lead 5-0 at the break, playing some lovely passing football along the way.  Valley Green to their credit kept going and didn't give up but still conceded another four second half goals.  The away keeper continued to get her body in the way of a few chances, even if the way she did it was unconventional at times!!!  But Manor are a credit to the area and are a great bunch of girls who play football the right way and deserved the victory and championship to boot.
