Hullbridge Sports 2 London Bari 2

Essex Senior League, Monday 6th May 2013

I made the short trip to Lower Road, Hullbridge to watch their final league match of the season on a nice warm bank holiday Monday.  Hullbridge begain well but found themselves behind after 11 minutes when Bari's Adam Hunt got through and lobbed the ball over the onrushing Bobby Mason in the home goal. Hullbridge equalised on 26 minutes through Tom Woolfe with a good finish from the edge of the area after the ball broke to him.  Bari re took the lead when the unfortunate Connor Rudd turned a cross in at his nearpost for an own goal. Hullbridge created some very good second half chances but could not score until the 83rd minute when the loose ball broke to Rob Hodgson around 12 yards out and he smashed into the bottom corner.  Both teams then went for a winner but had to settle for a very entertaining 2-2 draw.
