Frenford Senior 7 Buckhurst Hill 1

EOFL Premier Division, Wednesday 8th May 2013

This evening I made the short trip to Fairlop in East London/Essex to the Jack Carter Pavillion Oakfield Sports Ground to see if Frenford Senior could keep the pressure up on leaders Kelvedon Hatch at the top of the league.  Frenford took the lead on 16 minutes through a header from O'Neil after the Buckhurst keeper made a mess of a cross.  It was 2-0 five minutes before the half where with the away defence appealing for offside no flag came and Nougher kept his cool to slot home.  It was 3-0 on 54 minutes through Driscoll before Buckhurst enjoyed their best spell of the match and eventually got a goal back through a penalty on 67 minutes after the home keeper had brought one of the Buckhurst players down inside the box.  Nougher then got his second and Frenford's fourth a minute later straight from a corner and after this Frenford ran riot scoring three more goals, Prendergast on 80 minutes, Yoxall on 83 minutes and the final goal from Morley on 86 minutes completed a good evening for the home side.
