I popped down the line to Upminster this evening to watch another cup final, where one of my local sides White Ensign Reserves were up against Canning Town Reserves. Canning Town were a league higher than their counterparts but in the first half hour you would not of believed it as White Ensign raced into a 3-0 lead after 24 minutes. The first goal came after barely a minute from a good finish past the keeper after being played through on goal, the second goal was a penalty after 12 minutes and the third an absolute peach of a volley from 25 yards on 24 minutes as Ensign ran riot. Canning Town gradually settled and had a penalty of their own which they scored from on 39 minutes. The second half failed to hit the heights of the first half and although Canning Town put pressure on Ensign the game finished 3-1.
